Terms of Service
Effective date: April 13, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the SoundSense website, applications, training tools, content, and related services. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
2. Permitted Use
You may use SoundSense only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You agree not to:
- interfere with platform security, infrastructure, or other users' access;
- upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, or malicious content;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse non-public parts of the service;
- use the service to distribute malware, spam, or fraudulent material.
3. Content and Intellectual Property
SoundSense and its original content, branding, software, and site materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit them without prior authorization.
You retain rights to content you submit, but you grant SoundSense a non-exclusive license to host, process, display, and use that content as necessary to operate and improve the service.
4. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid features, if offered, may be subject to separate pricing, billing periods, renewal rules, and refund conditions presented at the time of purchase. You are responsible for applicable taxes and payment accuracy.
5. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including features, integrations, or content, with or without notice where legally permitted.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, or where required for legal, operational, or security reasons.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundSense disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundSense will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
9. Governing Terms
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised version.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent through the contact information published on the main SoundSense website.
